9:00AM: Good morning, and welcome to the Babya Expo: bSuite keynote. You're about to see the biggest jump for Babya bSuite ever.
Today, we're announcing bSuite 2008-a big jump over bSuite 1.x and 2.0.
9:01 AM: As you might know, Babya bSuite is a suite of popular Babya software such as:
- Babya E-Type
- Babya bDesign
- Babya Photo Workshop
- Babya Presenter
Babya bSuite 2008 has had one application from the above list dramatically enhanced and taken “to a whole new level.”.
So we'll take a look at it first.
9:02: It's bDesign-the web design part of bSuite. But-it's not called just bDesign anymore,we've renamed it:
9:03 AM: Babya bDesign Ultra.
You probably haven't seen bDesign Ultra. before, so we have a screenshot of the all-new bDesign Ultra:
9:04AM: A.A.- This is interesting, Let me tell you the story:
One day I wanted to make a rich and exciting site. Opened Frontpage-took an hour. Next, tried GoLive:hard. Then:MS Visual Web Developer:a 40MB download and still didn't do the job.
I couldn't make a greate web page in under a hour-so Alvin created a super fast, easy to use version of bDesign. We decided to use it.
So we're still calling it bDesign-but added "Ultra" to the end. And gave it a new icon that simply has "BD" against a color background.
Here's the new icon:
9:06 AM: What makes bDesign a completely new app? We'll show you some great new features starting with....
9:07 AM: A much cleaner user interface-you'll notice the E-Type like sidebar on the right of the window in the above picture.
bDesign Ultra still has the same 3 views from the old bDesign:visual designer, code view and browser view. Still opens HTML files but can now work with these formats:shtml;.shtm;.stm;.asp;.aspx;.css.
Plus bDesign is now under 1MB in size .
9:08AM: We're saying goodbye to the old property editor and HTML tree -in its place, a list based property editor and a tree-view based HTML tree that's interactive. All available in the new E-type like sidebar.
9:09 AM: Also new:quickly insert common web features:option buttons and text fields to make forms via the toolbar.
9:10 AM: Now here's feature that is very impressive:live web clippings.
Here's how it works: say, you find a map of the USA (Google Maps) that you want to have on your page.
Just select the part of the page you want to add into your site-then copy it and paste into bDesign.
Make sure you have permission from the copyright owner to use the part that you want.
You can preview your "live clip" from within bDesign.
9:12 AM: One more feature: remote site editing. Easy to use-click on the open URL button on the main toolbar, a window lets you type in the address and lets you edit your site.
So that's the new Babya bDesign-next up is bPicture.
9:13 AM:Babya bPicture 2008 is included-but as it's already been demoed (see our videos page), we don't need to discuss it much today:
Babya bPicture has been completely rebuilt using the NET Framework for the fastest image browsing experience-it can handle browsing of thousands of images (compared to the old VB6 based version) and, Babya bPicture now has a built-in image editing and slideshows.

9:15 AM: Logic Express comes with bSuite for the first time ever :create great music-export to MIDI (use it in Apple Logic).
